I’ve compiled a list of some of my favorite travel gadgets! Many of these I personally own and use in my own adventures!
Sand Resistant Blanket
This sand-resistant, water-resistant beach blanket is made of parachute rip-stop polyester which is strong, durable, lightweight, and quick drying! Sand easily brushes right off! It measures 9′ x 7′ and fits 4-7 people comfortably. It folds up compactly and fits in a pouch to make a great, lightweight carry along. This blanket has 5 integrated sand anchor pockets and 6 ground stakes and provides dual wind-resistant protection to keep the blanket on the ground even in high winds. The pockets even have built-in zippers which can keep your valuables safe! How cool is that?
Lifestraw Personal Water Filter
The Lifestraw micro-filtration membrane removes 99.999999% of waterborne bacteria (including E. coli and salmonella), and 99.999% of waterborne parasites (including giardia and cryptosporidium). It even removes micro-plastics. The microbiological filter will provide 1,000 gallons of clean and safe drinking water with proper use and maintenance. If you’re going on any trip outdoors, the Lifestraw is a MUST!
Contigo Autoseal Stainless Steel Water Bottle
My family personally has 2 of these Contigo bottles and I swear by them. I’ve taken ours to Disney World, all of my plane trips, I take it to work every single day — it definitely gets a lot of use. I love it because it keeps my drinks cold for hours (up to 28 hours). This bottle features thermalock double-walled vacuum insulation. It also has an autoseal buton to seal the lid between drinks to eliminate spills and leaks — and to keep bugs out! It also has a handy carrying handle.
Skyroam Solis Mobile WiFi Hotspot
If you have the Skyroam Solis, you’ll never have to think about foreign SIM cards or incurring roaming charges on your wireless plan when you’re traveling. The Skyroam Solis is one of the best mobile WiFi hotspots available and offers unlimited 4G LTE service around the globe — it works in over 130 countries! This little travel gadget operates up to 5 connections and can also double as a portable charger for your device while you’re on the go thanks to its integrated 6000 mAh power bank. Day passes are available for $9 and you’ll get unlimited internet access for 24 hours!
Portable Power Bank
This universal 16800mAh portable power bank is compact but powerful! I never travel without a portable power bank. You never know when you’ll be trapped somewhere without access to an electrical outlet. I’ve been stuck in airports for hours with all available outlets claimed by other travelers. This power bank also features dual USB ports so you can charge two devices at the same time!
Passport Wallet Organizer
I personally have this organizing wallet and use it for all of my travel needs. I first purchased this wallet for my Ireland trip when I wanted a way to keep my passport, credit cards, boarding passes, and currency all organized in one place. It’s made out of a high quality, eco-friendly PU leather and it’s available in 36 different colors! It features RFID blocking material to help safeguard your personal information. It has one passport pocket, 1 boarding pass compartment, 3 credit card slots, 1 ID slot, a zippered coin pouch, and a pen holder so you can fill out those customs forms. The best part? This wallet is under $20!
Gonex Compression Packing Cubes
These compression packing cubes are another item in my personal travel collection. After soaking in the wisdom from Travel Fashion Girl and adopting the carry-on only packing method as often as possible, these cubes have been invaluable! Regular packing cubes are great for organizing but I always end up with extra space. That’s why I love these Gonex cubes — you pack them like a regular cube, but they have an added zipper to compress ALL of the air out and make your clothing as small as possible. Using these cubes, I was able to pack for a 6 day trip to Ireland in the middle of January (cold, lots of layers, rain gear) in just a carry-on size suitcase and a personal backpack!
Inflatable Travel Pillow
Another one of the travel gadgets I purchased for my Ireland trip was this inflatable travel pillow and was so glad that I did! As I mentioned earlier, I did carry-on only, so my space for extras was severely limited. This is compact and fits in a soft carrying case. Simply take the travel pillow out of the included case and pump it using the built in valve. It easily deflates for quick storage and you can use it heated too!
eBags Mother Lode Weekender
Out of all of my travel gadgets, this bag has been a serious game changer and my absolute favorite. Using my compression cubes, I can easily fit a week’s worth of clothing and toiletries into this one Mother Lode Rolling Weekender bag. It comes in 3 different versions. The rolling weekender that I have does double duty by acting as a traditional carry-on bag or converting into a backpack. This can be especially helpful for those traveling in Europe. If you’ve ever tried to roll luggage on some of those cobblestone streets or navigate a hotel without an elevator, you’ll understand why being able to throw this on your back is appealing. There’s also the regular wheeled version and a straight up backpack version that doesn’t roll.
There you have it, folks! A quick round-up of my very favorite travel gadgets that can help make your trip easy and stress free! Happy traveling — the world is waiting!
