The all-inclusive plan at the Iberostar Selection Paraiso Maya includes accommodations as selected; breakfast and lunch buffet, daily snacks, à la carte dining (same day reservations accepted), 12-hour room service, unlimited domestic and international cocktails, beer and soft drinks, personalized concierge service, non-motorized watersports and access to the “humid areas” at El Spa. ACTIVITIES

Daily activities at this resort include Spanish lessons, dance lessons, water polo, beach volleyball, water volleyball, basketball, archery, air rifles, billiards, table tennis and use of flood-lit tennis courts. Activities at the resort with an additional charge include Scuba, diving, snorkeling, fishing excursions and a variety of motorized watersports.

Diving
Guests can take advantage of the CDC PADI Gold Palm Resort Dive Center, which offers various diving courses from beginner to instructor levels. There are also nitrox courses, local and night dives for those who are certified, and cenote diving. Equipment rental, snorkel tours and courses are also available.

Shopping
In the Shopping Center within the Iberostar Playa Paraiso Resort are the EL SPA (adults only), the discotheque “Galaxy”, the discotheque for teenagers “Underground”, a wedding chapel, an ice cream parlor with crepes, a hamburger corner, a Tapas Bar and a Taqueria. 17 stores offer souvenirs, golf clothing, jewelry and crafts in silver and pewter and so much more.

Golf Available
The Playa Paraiso Golf Club features a 6,800 yard golf course with 18 lushly landscaped holes, cooled by tradewinds coming off the Riviera Maya’s stunning sapphire seas. Part of the Playa Paraiso complex of 24-hour-all-inclusive resorts, the challenging yet satisfying course layout with long loping water features was designed by P.B. Dye-one of today’s most sought after golf architects. Club selection and dog leg approaches are options. Boredom isn’t. Discounted rates are available that include green fees, cart fees, food and beverages.

Aqua Fun Park

Aqua Fun Park is a 34,000 sq. foot aquapark at the Iberostar Selection Paraiso Maya and Selection Paraiso Lindo in the Riviera Maya, Mexico. With 7 waterslides over 190 feet in length, this is the perfect adventure for the family. Parents can lounge poolside while kids explore the new 30-foot tall water slides with a pirate ship pool and beach area.

Star Camp

The children’s activity program Star Camp is a total hit with the families staying in the hotel. The program is divided into age groups where children can learn to cook at the mini-chef kitchen, put themselves to the test on the multi-adventure course, play video games, discover the importance of caring for the environment in Starky’s garden with puppet and recycling workshops, bounce on the trampolines and much more.

In addition, as part of the Wave of Change sustainability program, the outdoor play area at Star Camp has been created with more than 7.17 tons of recycled plastic, equivalent to about 32,500 1.3-gallon jugs, which saves about 65 trees worth of wood.

The youngest members of the household can enjoy the Star Camp children’s pool, the wave pool or the carousel, or even pretend they’re pirates or sailors as they play on the slides at the Aqua Fun pool.

Buffet-style restaurants feature a kid’s menu; our kitchens are equipped to serve baby food, and babysitting services are also available.

MANGROVES

Take a walk amongst the hotel’s mangroves and find out more about how important they are in protecting our planet. The mangroves absorb 10 times more carbon dioxide than terrestrial forests, helping to combat climate change. They are characteristic of tropical areas and protect coastlines from the wind and waves. At Iberostar, we are protecting mangroves and planting more around our hotels in the Riviera Maya and Punta Cana. This is just one of the actions we are taking as part of our Wave of Change movement.

POOLS

The hotel’s 8 pools are amongst the amenities that our guests enjoy the most. Aquafun has 7 water slides with a combined length of almost 200 feet: 4 turboracers, 1 stuka, 1 aquatube and 1 open slide. The wave pool starts up every few minutes and is a hit with kids and adults alike. The perfect place to unwind is the lazy river, where you can let the current whisk you away, surrounded by vegetation. You can unwind even more in the whirlpool bath, rest in the Balinese beds, get into shape in the athletic pool or have fun drink-in-hand at the Aqua bar, while you enjoy activities prepared by the entertainment team. Our youngest guests have a splash pool just for themselves so they can enjoy the water more than ever.
